'FOR THE LOVE OF DETAIL' - ARCHISOURCE DRAWING OF THE YEAR 2020

The final competition I entered in 2020 is the Annual Archisource Drawing of the Year Competition. I decided to go through my portfolio and chose the drawn piece I felt most proud of. The detail to the left was part of my final portfolio for my second year of BA Architecture and I felt it reflected both my drawing style and attention to detail. The sectional detail seems two dimensional on the surface but on closer inspection reveals the lives of those living within the walls, their detritus of belongings and their usage of the space. The concept behind the home/work residences was a balance and a separation of working and home life, something I am personally passionate about and something that has become increasingly relevant this year with the Global Pandemic.
